Q: What formats can I use to submit my short film?
A: We accept Region 1 DVDs and NTSC MiniDVs. 16:9 aspect ratio is preferred for best results.
Q: Why do I need to include a trailer and poster?
A: Well how are we supposed to promote your film without them?! Attract an audience by creating a short teaser (1-2 minutes maximum in length) and poster (minimum 2550×3300 pixels; JPG, PNG, or PDF files only)! These promotional tools will be seen on our website and at our events so make them stand out. Remember, more ticket sales means more profits to share with you!
Q: Is my film guaranteed to be screened if I submit it?
A: While the LSFS is not a competitive festival, all entries are reviewed by a volunteer selection committee and choosen based on overall content and to fit into alotted time. We respect your right to artistic expression but we reserve the right to disqualify any film unsuitable for public display.
